The Warehouse Helper acts as an integral member of the team by aiding around the facility. This position will be filled by the best-fit candidate for the position. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, please do not apply.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assisting technicians with maintaining an organized warehouse.
Responsible for maintaining all equipment and supplies including but not limited to; air compressors, air dryers, cables, hoses, tools etc.
Cleaning of scrape material, warehouse floors, etc.
Checking and replenishing all fluids in each machine.
Polish critical surfaces on parts by hand, machine, and/or small hand tools.
Keep open communication with the administrative coordinator to perform occasional duties like pick up materials, spare parts, etc.
Clean machines with sandpaper, solvents and wiping rags to maintain the units in good shape.
Assist with general maintenance around the building
Examine equipment and machines to detect defects, scratches, dents or breaks in metal.
Provide feedback to the proper personnel in regard to equipment and machines.
Provides support to the technical department and Administrative Coordinator with any requests.
Perform other duties as required.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience working in a warehouse, mechanical shop or similar environment.
The capability of lifting 70 lbs.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
General knowledge of air compressors or similar equipment repairs (preferred)
Understanding of basic reading and math
Ability to use measuring and gauging instruments required.
Must have experience with power tools, band saws, etc.
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to be self-directed in order to perform with little supervision
Self-starter and drives business
Forklift certification required
